EAB provides innovative workshops for Creatives who want to get better at business and embrace their inner entrepreneur. EAB trainings are the perfect affordable options for Creatives who may be budget conscious (or for my divas who want to be Fiscally Fit).
Artist as Entrepreneur® Empowerment Program: This is a trademark program that focuses on developing an “entrepreneurial mindset” in artist, crafters and creative professionals. The goal is to get participants to embrace their “inner entrepreneur” and teach them to not be fearful of business and commerce. In four modules, participants learn about things such as cash flow, profit, strategy, operations, sales, marketing, product development and paying the IRS on time. This program is about shifting mindsets, educating, and empowering “Artists as Entrepreneurs”. Participants walk away with a working business plan and an action plan for success.
Creative Entrepreneur’s Turnaround Boot Camp: This workshop is especially geared for “Struggling Startups” and focuses on helping the creative business identify its issues, tighten up the business and revenue model, refine the target audience, plug the gaps and get back the basics of growing a successful business. Participants walk away with a working strategic plan and an action plan for success.
In the Black- Business Financial Boot Camp: This workshop is a business financial boot camp for artist, crafters and creative professionals. Over the course of the workshop, participants will learn how to read financial statements, develop budgets and sales projections for their business, learn about taxes and how to mange tax obligations, and learn how to financially manage their business in a fun and easy to understand manner—all to maximize profits! Participants walk away with a working financial plan and an action plan for success.
How to Start a Creative Nonprofit Organization: This workshop provides participants with the nuts and bolts of planning, establishing, funding and operating a creative nonprofit organization. Over the course of the workshop, participants will learn about the different types of nonprofit organizations, how to establish a credible charitable purpose supported by solid programming and a working board, how to register and license a nonprofit, fill out the proper forms for federal and state tax exemption and how to stay in compliance with the IRS tax exempt regulations. Participants walk away with EAB’s “How to Start a Nonprofit” workbook and an action plan for success.
Artist as Entrepreneur® Seminar Series: The seminar series focuses on effectively educating busy creative entrepreneurs about topics that are important to know and understand in running a profitable business. Topics include “Financial Basics for Creatives”, “Retail Math for Creatives”, and “Profit and Loss for Creatives”.
